Is Snoring Keeping you up at night? Aveo TSD Stop Snoring Instantly.

Countless nights I have lain awake, listening to the chainsaw beside me snoring away as he slept. I would often chuckle when it got to the point where he would wake himself up with his own snoring. I know he could not help it, but sometimes I would find myself looking for an energy hit during the day just to stay awake… and then came the weight gain from all the energy drinks and lollies. So once it got to the point I was considering sleeping in the spare room,  I decided to invest my energy drink budget into a more permanent solution: Aveo TSD.Aveo TSD Feature Image

Here is some more information on the Aveo TSD

What makes Aveo TSD a worthwhile investment?

Developed by NZ Orthodontist, Aveo TSD is a result of several years of clinical research on the treatment of snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). It is a simple, inexpensive, non-invasive solution to snoring and OSA. The principle is simple, it repositions the tongue when you sleep so it does not obstruct the airways. It is made from a soft medical grade silicone for comfort.

How does it work?

It holds the tongue forward by gentle suction to prevent it from falling back against the back of the throat. Thereby, keeping the airway open during sleep. This results in less noise or no noise at all so you can breathe easier, sleep more soundly and wake up feeling energized and refreshed.

But why do people snore?

Snoring is a very common problem among adults. Statistics show that 30 to 40% of the population snores. It is usually more common among men and as one gets older, snoring becomes a more habitual behaviour. It was also noted that the volume of snoring becomes louder as people age. The reason for this is the reduced levels of elastin in aging tissues.

What are the usual causes of snoring?

One is not born to snore. Although there are certain physical conditions that make a person more susceptible to snoring – like the tonsils are bigger than normal.  So here is a list of the most common causes of snoring.

Nasal Obstruction

When you have a cold, sinusitis, or even hay fever, your tendency is to breathe through your mouth because your nasal passages are clogged. This can lead to snoring.

Poor muscle tone in the tongue or throat

This can happen when you are in deep sleep. Drinking too much alcohol or taking sleeping tablets can cause the muscles to relax too much; thereby, leading to snoring.

Overweight

When you are overweight, the tendency is to make your throat bulkier and this can put an extra pressure on your breathing passages.

Abnormalities of the soft palate

There are cases where a person suffers from swollen, floppy or an excessively long palate.
